Education

I am a Junior at Princeton University majoring in History with a concentration in French literature, only because there is no available concentration in English Literature and Princeton won't let me do a double major. My passions are European history, both pre-modern and Medieval & Renaissance, and all Western literature. Because of my academic interests, I have a huge amount of experience in essay writing and the understanding of the workings of the English language.

Experience

I tutored elementary and middle school students in writing, arithmetic, reading comprehension and English literature for three years and scored an 800 on my SAT reading and writing sections. I love teaching children and plan to be a professor after graduate school. Tutoring is something I enjoy doing in my spare time since I love spreading the understanding and appreciation of the English language and literature, as well as the history of European countries. I have taken courses on Shakespeare, modern and classic English fiction, European history from antiquity to the 1700s, and Environmental and Molecular Biology. This summer I worked with struggling New York City public school students to teach them to engage in reading material and read critically.

I am a voracious reader and lover of music with a weekly show on WPRB 103.3FM, Princeton U's radio station. My true passion lies in fiction and I can spend hours reading a good book, although I also love to dance and did ballet and jazz for 10 years before coming to university - I also rode horses, something I would very much love to pick up again.
