Hello! My name is Doug and I attend Princeton Seminary. In 2013, I obtained a double major in history and Biblical studies from Grove City College. After completing my B.A. in History and Biblical Studies, I worked in the historic industrial city of Lowell as a museum teacher focusing on the Industrial Revolution. This job taught me that tangible tasks convey complicated ideas. I learned how to keep children interested in topics that failed to engage them. I also served as a youth intern, guiding children of all ages and backgrounds at my church. That group taught me flexibility in teaching methods and materials.Most of my teaching experience focuses on religion and history, but I feel confident teaching subjects like math, science, and more to middle school learners. My passion centers around working with children of all ages from all walks of life. I believe in knowing as much as possible about a student then streamlining the lesson and teaching style to fit that student's personality and preferred method of learning. I work with levels ranging from basic to AP. I look forward to knowing more about my students and helping them learn!I enjoy flag and fantasy football, reading, and Spartan races.
