Experience
I graduated from Macalester College with a focus in English. For my next educational goals, I hope to attend Princeton Theological Seminary to obtain a graduate degree. I have a wide range of experience working as a tutor. My main focus is English, and I've helped students one-on-one, in the classroom, and in SAT prep centers. I've even worked abroad to help students with English as a second language. I love teaching SAT reading and writing skills to my students. I also enjoy working on personal statements and essays in preparation for college applications. I understand the importance of properly preparing for college and getting into a great school.My experience with AmeriCorps has increased my hope for young people. I believe they can truly do whatever they want in terms of goals for the future. I hope that by working as a tutor and mentor, I can coach each student to achieve his or her dreams. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy watching film and reading books. I also love travel and enjoying cultural activities, such as spending time at museums.
