This is not a theoretical ideal of mine. I used to tutor (sometimes daily) virtually all subjects throughout high school and saw significant improvement through my teaching methodology. My philosophy is to teach the fundamental, conceptual understanding of a topic before delving into nuances and application. This, I believe, is the most effective way for students to confidently attack a wide range of exam questions, including those which may be unfamiliar. I also consider it necessary to teach while having fun because I know that a student who is actively engaged in his learning will learn quicker and retain more than one who is not. If your student needs help with the SAT, I know the secrets to attacking the test in the way that the test-writers themselves intended it to be taken. I have successfully tutored struggling students aiming to significantly improve their score as well as those with already impressive scores who want that extra push closer to a 2400. I truly care about the people I tutor! The eventual discovery in the hearts of everyone that they ARE able to learn what they may have previously given up on is what drives me to teach to my utmost fullest capacity. And time and time again people have come back to me after a test or paper telling me how much they feel they've improved. I can tutor anywhere within 5 minutes walking distance of Princeton University's campus
